Literal
She [topic-は] us [to-に] some questions [object-を] did.
質問をする ('to ask a question,' literally 'to do a question') is another light-verb construction. いくつか ('some, a few') is a productive expression: いくつ ('how many') + か (indefinite) = an indefinite small number. The pattern いくつ・どこ・だれ・なに + か yields 'some,' 'somewhere,' 'someone,' 'something.' Compare with the universal も version: いくつも ('several / many'), どこも ('everywhere / nowhere with negation').
