Try it yourself, too.

Literal

Self [even-でも] that [object-を] do-[try-てみなさい].

The imperative version using ~なさい (the gentle command) on ~てみる. ~てみなさい is 'try doing X (as a command/instruction).' A teacher or older person might say this to encourage hands-on practice. Putting 自分でも at the front emphasizes 'you yourself, too' — even in a casual instruction, the listener is being asked to step up rather than letting someone else handle it.
