It is better to be Socrates dissatisfied than a pig satisfied.

Literal

Satisfied pig [to become-となる] [more than-よりも] not-satisfied Socrates [to become-となる] way [subject-が] good.

A Japanese rendering of John Stuart Mill's famous line. The comparative ~よりも~方が ('rather than X, Y is [more]') carries the contrast. となる ('to become X') is the formal/written equivalent of になる, here attaching to 豚 ('pig') and ソクラテス. Note the parallel construction echoing the philosophical original.
