A display, also called a monitor, is a device that shows still or moving video signals output from a computer or other equipment.

Literal

Display [topic-は] monitor [quotative-ともいい], computer [and-など] [genitive-の] equipment [from-から] output-being still-image or moving-image [genitive-の] video-signal [object-を] display-do equipment [literary-copula-である].

A technical definition sentence. ディスプレイ and モニタ are loanwords (note モニタ without the long vowel mark — an older transliteration style). ともいい ('also called') introduces the alternate name. 出力される (しゅつりょくされる, 'output / being output') is the passive of a technical verb. 静止画 (still image) and 動画 (moving image/video) are paired. ~である at the end gives the encyclopedic, definitional tone. A textbook or glossary entry.
