忠犬ハチ公 (Hachiko, loyal dog)

The famous Akita dog who waited at Shibuya Station for his deceased owner every day for nearly ten years (1925-1935). Hachiko became a national symbol of loyalty in Japan, commemorated with a statue at Shibuya Station.
