Death Note (デスノート)

Death Note — a popular manga/anime about a genius high schooler, Light Yagami, who acquires a supernatural notebook allowing him to kill anyone whose name he writes. The line 『僕は新世界の神となる』 ('I will become the god of the new world') is his famous declaration of intent.
