が vs を with 好きになる

The choice between が (prescriptive standard, treating 好き as an adjective) and を (informal but common, treating 好きになる as a transitive verb 'come to like'). Both are heard; the を form is especially natural with the change-of-state 好きになる, less so with the static 好きだ.
