ごろごろ (rumbling)

A 擬音語/擬態語 for a low, continuous rumbling or rolling — thunder, a heavy object rolling, a stomach growling, a cat purring, idle lounging at home, or gritty lumps. One of the most polysemous Japanese mimetics. Sometimes written in katakana (ゴロゴロ) for emphasis.
