counter 羽 (birds)

The counter 羽 (わ) used for counting birds (and historically for rabbits) — 一羽 (one bird), 二羽 (two birds), 三羽 (three birds). One of the many specialized classifiers Japanese uses to distinguish categories of things being counted.
