Hiroshima (広島)

Hiroshima — a major city on Honshu, internationally known as the site of the atomic bombing of August 1945. In everyday Japanese contexts also famous for お好み焼き (Hiroshima-style savory pancakes), the Itsukushima floating torii on nearby Miyajima Island, the Hiroshima Carp baseball team, and as a center of Western Honshu.
