~員 (occupational suffix)

The suffix ~員 used to denote a member, staffer, or employee in some role: 会社員 (company employee), 公務員 (civil servant), 駅員 (station staff), 銀行員 (bank employee). One of the most productive occupational suffixes in Japanese.
