顔を出す (to show one's face)

The set phrase 顔を出す, literally 'put out one's face,' meaning 'to show one's face, to put in an appearance, to drop by briefly, to make a brief appearance.' Common in social contexts (パーティーに顔を出す 'drop by the party'). Also used literally for poking one's face into a space.
