かつ (and, furthermore, formal)

The formal/written conjunction かつ, used to coordinate parallel adjectives, adverbs, clauses, or points — '(both) X and Y / at once X and Y / furthermore X.' Elevated register; everyday speech uses や, と, or て-form linking instead.
