The counter ヶ月 (also 箇月, か月) for counting months as a duration — 一ヶ月 ('one month'), 三ヶ月 ('three months'), 何ヶ月 ('how many months'). Distinct from the ordinal ~月 (がつ) for naming a specific month (January, February). Often written with the small ヶ even though pronounced か.
