けがをする (get injured)

The set collocation けが ('injury') + をする, 'to get injured.' Uses をする to verb the noun, parallel to 病気をする ('fall ill') and 食事をする ('have a meal'). Resultative state: けがをしている ('is injured'). Often written 怪我をする with kanji.
