くよくよ (brooding/fretting)

A 擬態語 (state mimetic) for unproductive brooding, dwelling on regret, or fretting over things one cannot change. Often paired with 考える or 悩む. Carries a slightly negative judgment — the implication is that the person is wallowing rather than constructively processing.
