particle polysemy (に)

The particle に has many distinct uses — dative recipient, location target, time, purpose (with motion verbs after a verb stem), passive agent, and more. Two different uses can appear in the same sentence (私に会いに来た: dative + purpose), distinguished by what they attach to.
