nominalizer の + に (focus of attention)

The nominalizer の attached to a verb plus the particle に, forming a noun-clause marker for the activity that holds someone's attention: 聞くのに夢中, 読むのに集中. Visually identical to the conjunctional のに ('although') but parses differently.
