~後 (after)

The suffix ~後 (ご or あと) attached to a noun (or verb-noun) to mean 'after X.' 食事の後 / 食事のあと ('after the meal'), 卒業後 ('after graduation'), 嵐のあと ('after the storm'). The ご reading is more bookish/formal; the あと reading more colloquial. Often spelled in kana as のあと in casual writing.
