御守 / 御札 (amulet / talisman)

御守 (omamori) are small cloth amulets sold at shrines/temples for good luck, health, love, or other wishes. 御札 (ofuda) are paper talismans that are displayed or hung at home as a form of protection. Both are central to Japanese folk religion.
