~去る (leave by V-ing)

The auxiliary suffix ~去る ('leave, depart') attached to a verb stem to form a compound meaning 'leave by V-ing / do X and depart': 走り去る ('run off, run away'), 飛び去る ('fly off'), 立ち去る ('walk off'), 過ぎ去る ('pass by, be over'), 歩き去る ('walk away'). Adds a directional sense of moving away.
