そう (anaphoric 'that way')

The pronoun-like adverb そう, referring back to a previously mentioned proposition or manner ('like that, so'). Pairs with verbs of thinking, saying, doing: そう思う ('think so'), そう言う ('say so'), そうする ('do so'). One of the こ・そ・あ・ど deictic series.
