タラレバ話 (what-if talk)

A Japanese term for 'hypothetical regret talk' — speculating about what would have happened if X. The name combines the two conditional endings ~たら and ~れば that are grammatically used for such statements. Similar to 'coulda-shoulda-woulda' in English.
