~ていく (continue going forward)

The auxiliary ~ていく, attached to the te-form to indicate continuation of an action or state into the future, viewed from the speaker's vantage. The directional opposite of ~てくる ('come up to now'). Common in expressions of ongoing change, sustained effort, or future trajectory.
