A category of Western-influenced dishes adapted into Japanese home and restaurant cooking: ハンバーグ, オムライス, カレーライス, コロッケ, ナポリタン. Born from Japan's Meiji-era opening to Western food and now considered uniquely Japanese rather than foreign.
