ゆっくり (slowly, leisurely)

A 擬態語 (state mimetic) for slow, leisurely, unhurried motion. Used adverbially with optional と (ゆっくり歩く 'walk slowly') or in fixed expressions like ゆっくりして ('take it easy / make yourself at home'). Distinct from のろのろ ('slowly with a sluggish, negative flavor') and 静かに ('quietly').
