ズキン (sharp throbbing pain)

A mimetic for a sharp, throbbing pain — one of Japanese's many specialized pain mimetics. ズキズキ (continuous throbbing), ピリピリ (tingling/stinging), ヒリヒリ (burning/smarting). Used with する: ズキンとする ('throbs sharply').
