~ほかに (besides)

A compound connective meaning 'besides X, in addition to X, other than X.' Used to add items to a list or to note features beyond what was already mentioned. Both ~ほか (bare) and ~ほかに (with に) appear; the ~に form is somewhat more explicit. Also written ~の他に / ~の他 (with kanji 他). Slightly more formal than ~だけでなく.
