~か~か (alternative question)

The paired pattern [X]か+[Y]か, offering alternatives — 'X or Y / whether X or Y.' Works both as a standalone question and embedded inside a larger clause: 行くか行かないか ('go or not go'), 本当か嘘か ('truth or lie'), AかB ('A or B'). Distinct from sentence-final か (question marker).
