A 擬態語 (state mimetic) depicting exhaustion, limpness, or being worn out — a person (くたくたに疲れる 'exhausted'), an object (くたくたの服 'worn-out clothes'), or food (vegetables cooked くたくた = soft and mushy). Sometimes written in katakana (クタクタ) for emphasis.
