na-adjective predicate
grammar14 sentences
Na-adjectives take the copula だ (plain) / です (polite) in predicate position rather than conjugating directly: きれいだ, 静かだ, 元気だ. They attach な only when modifying a following noun. Distinct from i-adjectives, which conjugate for tense and politeness on their own without needing a copula.
