~のかもしれない (might turn out that)

The construction explanatory の + かもしれない, expressing a reasoned possibility — 'it might turn out that, perhaps it's the case that, it might be the case that X.' Frames the possibility as an explanation for the current situation. Slightly more committed than plain ~かもしれない, since the speaker has reasoning behind the guess.
