おる (humble auxiliary for いる)

The humble verb おる, a humble-register counterpart to いる ('to be / exist'). Used in keigo as a humble self-reference or as a humble auxiliary on the te-form (~ております / ~ておる) — 呼んでおります, お待ちしております. In some dialects (e.g., western Japan) it also functions as a neutral いる.
