ためになる (be beneficial)

A set phrase meaning 'to be beneficial, useful, educational, good for one.' Literally 'to become for the sake of (something).' Common in praise of valuable content or advice: 勉強は君のためになる ('studying will do you good'). The ~のためになる form marks the beneficiary explicitly.
