頼む + に (addressee)

The verb 頼む ('ask, request') marks the person being asked with に — 彼に頼む ('ask him'), 先生に頼む ('ask the teacher'). The thing asked for is marked with を or quoted with と: 手伝いを頼む ('ask for help'), 来るように頼む ('ask someone to come').
