藪をつついて蛇を出す (proverb: stirring up trouble)

A well-known Japanese proverb: 'poking the bush brings out the snake'. Warns against unnecessary meddling that creates new problems. Often abbreviated to 藪蛇 (やぶへび). Conceptually similar to English 'let sleeping dogs lie'.
