The honorific prefixes お~ and ご~ attached to nouns (and some adjectives) to mark politeness, respect, or refined speech. お~ attaches to native Japanese words (お名前, お茶, お昼, お花); ご~ (written 御) attaches to Sino-Japanese words (ご家族, ご出身, ご注文).
